What we keep, and why.

What we keep

Only what makes your account work on every screen.

• Your emailTo sign you in and to send account emails (confirming your address, resetting your password). Never for marketing.
• Your password, scrambledStored as a one-way hash (scrypt with a random salt). We can't read it.
• Your profiles and what they saveProfile names, the addon links you add, Home row choices, Continue watching (titles and where you stopped), and player settings such as subtitle preferences. Stored encrypted.
• Addon links can contain your own keysSome addons put an account key in their link (for example a debrid service). We keep that link only so your devices can use it, encrypted, and never use it ourselves.
• Your signed-in devicesA device name (like “Chrome on Android”) and when it was last used, so you can see and remove them.
• Bug reports you sendIf you use Report a bug, we get your message, the picture if you add one, your email if you give it, and the app version and TV model. It goes to one inbox and isn't shared.
• App problem reportsWhen the TV app crashes or can't show previews, it sends the error, the app version and the TV model (for preview problems, also the name of the server the video came from). No account, title or full link.
• Anonymous countsTotals such as visits, rooms and minutes watched. No IP addresses, names, chats or titles. Daily unique visitors are counted from a scrambled code that changes every day, so nobody can be followed.

What we don't do

• No selling or sharingYour data isn't sold, rented or shared for advertising.
• No ads, no trackersNo advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser keeps a few settings locally (like the last tab you used).
• We don't host videoVideos come from the addons you choose, straight to your device. Those addons have their own rules.
• Party chat isn't storedMessages in a watch party exist only while the party is open.

Where it lives

• Our serverRuns on Render.
• Your account dataStored with Upstash (a Redis database service), encrypted at rest.
• EmailsSent through Resend.
• Movie and show detailsCome from TMDB. We ask TMDB about titles, never about you.
• NetworkCloudflare handles our web address.

Why we may use it

• To run your accountSigning you in, saving your profiles and addons, and syncing them between your devices. This is the service you asked for.
• To keep it working and safeProblem reports, anonymous counts and short-lived limits on repeated requests (to stop abuse). These rely on our legitimate interest in a working, secure service.
• No marketingWe only email you about your account. If we ever want to send anything else, we'll ask first.

How long we keep it

• Your accountUntil you delete it. Deleting removes it at once.
• Unconfirmed accountsDeleted after 30 days.
• Email linksConfirmation links last 7 days, password reset links 1 hour.
• Problem reportsKept in our server logs for a short time, not tied to an account.
• Anonymous countsAbout 13 months.

Your rights

• See, correct, move or delete your dataMost of it is in the app (Account, profiles, addons). For a copy of everything or anything else, write to support@reddate.xyz and we'll answer within 30 days.
• ComplainYou can also contact your local data protection authority.
• If something goes wrongIf your data is ever exposed, we'll tell the people affected by email, and the authorities where the law requires it.
• Service providersRender, Upstash, Resend and Cloudflare handle data for us under their standard data processing terms. Some of them are in the United States.
• AgeReddate isn't meant for children under 13.

Your control

• Delete everythingAccount → Delete account removes your account, profiles and saved addons, and signs out every device. It can't be undone.
• Unconfirmed accountsIf you never confirm your email, the account is deleted after 30 days.
